Thorsten Trede, Managing Director and senior expert of APPLICATIO Training & Management GmbH (www.applicato.com) since more than 14 years, is well experienced in the management and execution of consulting and training projects on behalf of international donor organisations in and for developing countries worldwide with a special focus on Southern Africa, Central and Est Asia as well as the Balkan Region.
His expertise include e.g. consulting measures in the fields of value chain promotion, organisational management (strategic and operational), leadership, marketing, human resource development, change management, regional economic development, SME development, project management, etc. In addition he is a highly experienced trainer, moderator, coach including training needs assessment, planning and implementation of workshops/tailor made trainings (face-to-face and online), curricula development, development of training materials. He acted as project leader in well over 40 larger and smaller projects worldwide as senior trainer and consultant.
He has profound experience in project planning and evaluation as a member of expert pool of GIZ on “Impact-Oriented Monitoring and Evaluation” and has implemented numerous project planning missions and project evaluations.
He has been involved in value chain related projects for more than 10 years (on behalf of mainly GIZ and SEQUA) with a special focus on value chain analysis and mapping as well as value chain upgrading esp. in the agricultural (wood/timber, wool, meat, vegetable, leather) and service sector.
He is CapacityWORKS certified and works in German (mother tongue) and English but also speaks basic Afrikaans and some French.
