ECO Consult GmbH & Co. Fernando Camargo is employee of ECO Consult. He holds a law degree from the Mackenzie Presbyterian University in São Paulo, Brazil, as well as a Master degree in “Public Economics, Law and Politics” from Leuphana University – Lüneburg, Germany. In his current position, he primarily works in the field of value chain development. He has long-standing experience in developed, emerging and developing countries with the German cooperation (GIZ), private sector and the consulting sector in the areas of environmental law and policies, value chain promotion, access and benefit sharing (ABS) and climate change adaptation.
He is experienced in the organization and implementation of ValueLinks Trainings and has expertise in the development of baseline-studies and evaluations as well as in the elaboration of market studies and economic analyses on value chains for several products (cork, charcoal, non-timber forest products, including honey and medicinal plants etc).
His regional experience covers: Algeria, Angola, Bangladesh, Brazil, Ecuador Germany, Madagascar, Mexico, Mongolia, Mozambique, Portugal, Thailand
His working languages are Portuguese, English, German and Spanish.
