HELBERG, Ulrich

Consultant, promotion of sustainable, agricultural value chains, cooperation with the private sector.

Ulrich Helberg is holding a BSc in International Agricultural Development and an MSc in Environmental Protection, both from University of Kassel, Witzenhausen, Germany. He has worked in the development sector in Zambia, Tanzania, Mali and Ghana for about ten years and as a freelance consultant in about 30 countries worldwide for over 15 years. From 2010 until early 2013, Ulrich has worked as GIZ project manager for the Certification Capacity Enhancement project (CCE), a Development Partnership with the Private Sector for sustainable cocoa production in West Africa. He still coordinates this partnership.

He is dedicated to the development of sustainable agricultural value chains, linking producers with markets. Ulrich speaks fluently German, English and French.
