MBUGUA, Jeremiah Nyori

Jeremiah Nyori Mbugua is An Agricultural Extension and Training Expert carrying out value chain promotion, agribusiness development, workshop facilitation and extension training. He has over 21 years experience in the agriculture sector and has carried out consultancy work for organisations in the east Africa region (Kenya, Uganda, Somali, Mozambique, Rwanda) and the African region and facilitated over eight international Valuelinks training workshops.

Jeremiah is presently a senior extension and technology transfer officer at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He has attracted funds and implemented development interventions such as capacity building and incubation for rural women SMEs, Value chain development in dairy, radio extension and information dissemination work and banana value chain promo-tion among others. He is also a lead consultant for Agricom Consultants Limited who carry out feasibility studies for irrigation programmes in the East African region.

He holds a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development and a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education from Egerton University and presently finalising his PhD thesis on agribusiness (value chain development).

He has won numerous awards to participate in international training activities, workshops and conferences in South Africa Mauritius, Malaysia, and Australia among other others.
