Wolfgang Wiegel graduated from University of Applied Sciences Coburg-Münchberg/Germany in Textile Technology & Engineering, and post graduated at University of Applied Sciences Pforzheim/Germany as Economist and Industrial Engineer.
Experience: * 29 years consultancy in technical assistance projects/programs (EU, GIZ, DFID, ILO, IFAD, UNIDO, private sector clients). * 14 years management responsibilities in medium sized and multi-national companies (origin: Germany, UK, USA, Japan, Sweden, Italy) as well as EU based industrial consulting companies. Managerial responsibilities in strategic and operational B2B marketing and sales, industrial automation, business development with specific sectoral experience in Textile technology and machinery; systems and components manufacturing; machine works; food and beverage production industry.
In consultancy, Wolfgang Wiegel focusses on value chain methodologies in agro and industrial projects. He is a VL trainer and executes value chain analysis and studies, focusing on industrial VCs, SME internationalization and consultancy, private sector and industrial competitiveness and export development; organisational development of service providers and institutions/BMO skills and capacity building, TVET; systemic development of non-traditional sectors in oil and gas producing countries.
