SCHRÖDER, Katy

GIZ advisor for cooperation with private sector, Germany, working in the field of private sector investment in emerging and developing countries, agri-business and value chain promotion.

Katy Schröder works since 2002 in the field of development and international cooperation for private enterprises and technical cooperation programs (Swiss Cooperation, AfDB, GFA Consulting Group GmbH, GIZ GmbH).

She graduated as Master of Advanced Studies in Development and Cooperation (ETH Zurich) and International Policy (University of Hamburg) and specialized as project manager on value chain development, private sector promotion and business development services since 16 years.

Her main background is on project management, consultancy and training. She has particular sector experience in food processing, mechanization, irrigation and tourism projects.

In value chain development, Katy Schröder specializes on economic studies, design and implementation of value chains promotion projects. Since 2006, she has facilitated VC promotion workshops and trainings and is engaged in the promotion of sustainable business models and private-public partnerships.

Her regional experience covers North- and West-Africa as well as Turkey.

Her working languages are French and English.
